Guido The Unknown – Colin James
The men drank their absinthe and waited.
Outside the sound of climbing
like tending to the aspherical.
Someone was on the roof again.
Perhaps an early yard sale participant.
In thirty years of two biannual distractions,
only one neighbor committed half-heartedly.
A lone oak chair sat midway up his driveway.
A small threatening sign for a price tag
Keep Out! Two Hundred Dollars.
COLIN JAMES
Colin James was born well above the Leicester Line dividing the south and north of England. After being made aware that the brethren lacked sophistication due to the fact none of them kept a chilled bottle of Vermouth in the refrigerator, he moved to Massachusetts.
