Since Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam in 1512 – Manahil Bandukwala

Adam has been reaching to God for 1.5 million
light years. Fresco so old cracks into black holes.
After the restoration has wiped the sky of all light
warp through the wormhole, tilt head back to watch
naked stars pulse, grow and explode before
they touch. The spark of life as plasma super jets
so massive shrouded over the earth. If the Milky Way
were Michelangelo’s canvas and every muscled
bicep had the explosive sheen of space debris
we would not travel an ocean to enter the city
within a city. Lay down on the driveway still littered
with spring thaw’s leaves and watch the creation
rain down, reach our index fingers up towards
a sky and reach and reach and almost, almost touch.
