Disenthrall – Teresa K. Miller

When would each shattered knuckle
reform and tuck away its denser

secret. When at last you became
a gutter luring water from the door.

When you rose, a skin boat in the ice floe.
The pinnacle a foothill, the trumpets heralding

fermata, muffled crow.

Teresa K. Miller is the author of Borderline Fortune (National Poetry Series winner, Penguin, 2021), sped (Sidebrow), and Forever No Lo (Tarpaulin Sky) as well as co-editor of Food First: Selected Writings from 40 Years of Movement Building (Food First Books). She tends a mini orchard near Portland, Oregon.
